On the top of the Svab-Hill, on the border of the Nature Protected Area of Buda, still 15 minutes away from Downtown lies the newly modernized Hotel Normafa in a picturesque environment. The familiar atmosphere and the green surroundings of the alpine style hotel provide excellent possibility for recreation. Where does the name Normafa come from? This wonderful hill covered by forest, being the charming look out of Budapest was the most popular excursion places for the artist society of the last century. The well-known singer Roza Klein oce sung the great aria of Bellini's Norma under a big beech on this beautiful place. From this time on this place was called Norma tree Hungarian Normafa. Rooms are equipped with modern, stylish furniture, telephone, coffee tea making facilities mini bar, and cable-TV amenities that are sure to provide our guests with all comforts. Each room has a wonderful view to the enormous park. Other services include guest relations services, garden, gymnasium, bicycle and sled rentals, beach volleyball and football court, and a drink bar to name a few. Within the hotel we have the Nowo Restaurant with a terrace available for dining over the summer. It's a perfect place for an elegant, yet still informal dining. The Normafa Cafe & Grill is located at the street side, is one of the most popular restaurants of the Buda side with its original colors and extremely wide food and beverage selection. Our fitness and wellness center offers guest a steam cabin, infrasuana (fee), cosmetics saloon, and the outdoor swimming pool is heated and operating during the winter time. For entertainment we have a new club room (fee) with billiards, table football and a chess table. Our new reception area is decorated with Mediterranean style. ***Please note From the 24th of April 2006 until the middle of May there will be a reconstruction in the hotel During this period our NOWO Piano restaurant and the rooms on the second floor will be renovated and the swimming pool will be renewed. Because of the work between the period of April 24- May 7, 2006, only the children’s pool will operate and between the period of April 29 - May 10, 2006, the buffet breakfast will be served at our Normafa Cafe & Grill restaurant.
